Why not just use one of the spit forks I already have from my barbeque rotisserie?

ANSWER: That’s a great question. We’ve had these hotdog /marshmallow forks custom made so they will fit the shaft of our campfire poker. Our shaft is slightly larger than 1/2”. Your fork is designed to fit a shaft much smaller. Here’s an example of what we mean:

ANSWER:  Note that with our fork, not only is it much larger than a standard rotisserie fork, but it’s also more heavy duty. Ours should literally last a lifetime. Also note that with your standard rotisserie fork, you have to use a pair of pliers to adequately tighten it to the shaft. With ours, just two fingers will do the job quite nicely.

ANSWER: We did mention it was heavy duty didn’t we?  What can you say about a spit fork (we call it a hot dog fork), that can also cook steaks, chicken, pork chops or most anything you can cook on a BBQ?

You can see for yourself that the amount of stainless steel that goes into ours is about 3 to 4 times more than the standard rotisserie spit fork.
